CASA BANDA, apartment A2, “Casa del Aterdecer” is a large studio apartment with plenty of room for a couple, even for an extended stay or for a family with a couple of kids. It is part of a six-apartment complex and can be rented separately and in various combinations with the other apartments, sleeping a total of 16 people. Please see our other listings.

The floor plan is open and with windows on all four sides plus several fans, it is always comfortable inside. Magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean can be seen from both the sitting area, the king size bed and from the kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped and meals can be enjoyed at the kitchen bar, the dining table (large enough for company) or on the balcony. Because of the balcony this condo is not suitable for small children, but youngsters who can share a futon will love the large pool and the nearby beach and river. Nature is just outside and both monkeys, iguanas, parrots and lots of other creatures are often seen. All linens and towels are included, and the maid comes once a week. Extra cleaning can be arranged for a fee. There is both a safety box and a bodega (room with a dead bolted steel door) for your valuables. While we wait the get a telephone line (one of the quirks of Costa Rican life), telephone and internet service is available at LaGarta Lodge 5 minutes down the road and at several other places in the area. There is a boom box and a good variety of music CD’s. Smoking indoors and pets are not allowed. The six apartments share the large pool, pool house and the laundry room.

The walk to the nearest beach takes about 15 minutes down the hill, but coming back up the hill can take you 20-25 minutes. The terrain in and around Nosara is hilly, and even though there are several restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance, we recommend renting a car or ATV to be able to fully experience the area and the village of Nosara which is about 3 miles/5 kilometers inland. However, if you like walking, much can be seen that way. A taxi to and from town to get groceries is definitely cheaper than renting a vehicle.

There is a cancellation fee of $ 150 plus incurred expenses for returning payment. Payment in full is required 1 month before arrival. Full (100%) payment is due for Holiday bookings (Christmas, New Years and Easter) at the time of reservation. Rental fees are payable the following ways: PayPal: fee: 3% of rental amount - Certified Check or Money Order: fee: US$ 5.00 - Wire transfer to Costa Rica: fees: $ 25 in Costa Rica + what your bank charges to send the wire. Renter is responsible for the inventory and will be charged for any missing or damaged items. This includes the property, e.g. walls, doors, fixtures, etc.
