A spectacular oceanfront vacation home, Sunset Retreat is located in the Southern Gulf Islands between Vancouver and Victoria in south western British Columbia, on Canada‘s west coast. Magnificently scenic and peaceful, the Southern Gulf Islands rank among the world's most beautiful islands. Sunset Retreat is conveniently located within minutes of the Otter Bay ferry terminal on North Pender Island.

Snuggled in a forest of majestic cedars, Sunset Retreat is one of Pender Islands' hidden treasures. This beautiful location is abundant with wildlife--deer, bald eagles, herons, sea lions, otter, orca whales, and seabirds abound. The calm protected waters are perfect for canoeing or kayaking and you will watch passing boats and marine life from the deck of this privately owned vacation home. Architecturally designed, 2400 square foot Sunset Retreat was built to maximize the breathtaking view from all the major rooms and features a huge ocean side sun deck that runs the length of the upper level of the house. With a south western exposure the deck is a great place for soaking up the sun and dining outdoors. There is also a sundeck off the lower level master bedroom suite where you can relax with your morning coffee as you watch the Orca Whales and seals cavort in the ocean below while eagles and ravens soar above.

Sunset Retreat features a spacious sun-filled open plan living/dining/kitchen area and is equipped with comfortable furniture in the living room along with a TV, stereo and DVD player and a dining table that seats up to eight. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, and for your convenience, a washer and dryer. In the lower level games room there is a billiard table and dart board as well as television and DVD player.

Enjoy this home's unique, west coast style featuring wood beamed ceilings and a dramatic floor to ceiling wood burning rock fireplace. In the winter months, a cozy fire and a good book will provide welcome relaxation while you watch the ever changing maritime scenery.

The perfect retreat for visitors seeking the warmth and peacefulness of beautiful Pender Island, Sunset Retreat can accommodate small groups, families, or serve as a romantic get-away. With four tastefully furnished bedrooms and two full bathrooms, Sunset Retreat comfortably accommodates eight people with one queen bed, two doubles and two twin beds. Two bedrooms are located on the water side of the house and offer spectacular views from their decks. All the beds have puffy duvets--perfect if you want to cozy up in bed and linger over your morning coffee as you gaze out at the view and watch the seals, otters and whales frolic in the water below.

Rental Policies: Christmas and New Year -- $250.00 US per night for 1 to 4 people. Minimum 2 nights, October to May, $250.00 per night (1 - 4 people) Additional $20.00 per person, per night for persons 5 through 8. Minimum 7 nights, June to September, Additional $50.00 per person, per week for persons 5 through 8, Sunday to Sunday bookings in July and August, please. All rates are in Canadian dollars and are subject to 6% GST
