St. Thomas Virgin Islands Villa Rental 00802
| | |
Overlooking the St Thomas harbor, just a five-minute drive to town, Bellagio Estate, in the early island days, was once the gracious home of a U.S. Ambassador. There are 3 separate buildings, making it perfect to use for groups whether they be small or large, and a great alternative to a resort or hotel. Built in 1960, Bellagio has simple, historic charm. Two separate villas, plus a small two-bedroom cottage, are all surrounded by the expansive, 1.6 acres of landscaped property, screened by lofty, mature trees such as mango, papaya, breadfruit, bamboo, and towering palms. In the center of it all is the generous pool, complete with slide, outdoor shower, gas grill and a wet bar. A private tennis court with a basketball net for your enjoyment. The Upper Villa, Bellagio's upper building, boasts a large covered outdoor living area in crisp white island décor. A perfect location to watch the cruise ships depart from the harbor. A powder room and a full kitchen are conveniently just off this living area. Bedroom #1, a double, with its own bath, is tucked away on a small shady patio with palm trees just outside the kitchen. On the other side of this patio and down a corridor with floor-to-ceiling windows are three more bedrooms (2 king bedrooms, #2 and #4, and one with 2 twins, #3) and two baths (bedroom #2 & #3 share a bath). These 3 bedrooms have an ocean view. Each bedroom is air-conditioned, has cable TV and all suites are tastefully decorated. Down the stairs at the garden level, (near the pool deck), is bedroom #5, a private, air-conditioned king suite. Down the stairs from the Upper Villa on the pool deck below, is Bellagio's expansive lower villa. This Main House offers a living/dining room and another full kitchen from which guests can enjoy town and harbor views. This building is excellent for a smaller group to enjoy. A covered deck which overlooks the pool is off the living room, perfect for catching some shade on a hot Caribbean day. Two king bedroom/bath suites (#6 and #7) are adjacent to the living area, and are fully air-conditioned and equipped with cable TV. Both suites are elegantly designed with an old-world flavor and furnished in classic mahogany furniture. Each bath features an antique all- marble bathroom with gold-tipped fixtures, which are original from when the house was built. A cool and private patio off these bedrooms provides a quiet spot to read or snooze. And below, via a spiral staircase, the lower level of the Main House offers a game/media room complete with air hockey, a pool table and electronics, movies, books, games and is equipped with a computer with DSL line, a fax machine and printer. Adjacent to the game/media room is a full bath and an air-conditioned queen bedroom (#8). Outside, it is just a few steps to the cozy little cottage (tuc
